It is a very readable book, buttressed by its author’s extensive, well-documented research on natural products. The book’s discussion about the importance of various vitamins, minerals and herbs for prostate and breast cancer prevention will be of great value to all men and women.

This is a very good book which manages to make a lot of sense out of a very complex problem. You’ll learn about the prostate and how poor eating habits and nutrition, adverse envirornmental factors, pollutants, a sedentary lifestyle, stress and aging can effect prostate health.
James Occhiogrosso does a very good job explaining how excercise and nutrition, (including supplements) along with common sense living practices can help you. Prostate issues are not just due to older age, but to many times preventable factors in our lives. He does a great job of putting you onto some easily found, affordable foods and supplements that do help. I’ve noticed quite an improvement in my own chronic prostatitis symptoms since adopting some of his dietary reccomendations.
Many of the studies the author cites in his research do seem inconclusive. Yet his holistic and sensible approach not only to prostate health but your overall health can not be disputed. His writings make sense and I’d not be going too far out on a limb to say that just about any man would benefit from reading this book and adopting some of the wisdom here. I my case, just eating healthy, exercising more frequently, eating pumpkin seeds, drinking cranberry juice, and taking Saw Palmetto and some vitimans, I have felt much better and seen some very good signs in about two months time. I won’t go into detail but these good signs have been in all aspects of prostate and urinary function.
It’s a great book that is good reading and very helpful.

This is a great book for all of us men who have concerns about keeping healthy. The author does a good job of describing the situation with our aging bodies and the various remedies available to us. The side effects of an aging prostate are surprisingly complex but he reminds us that the fix can be quite simple changes in our eating and excersize habits. There is a wealth of knowledge just in the herbals mentioned in the book. I liked his writing style, very straightforward and factual. It is well worth keeping as a reference.
